FTTP Engineer (Contract – £235 per day) Location: Cambridge, UK Job Type: Contract, Full-time Rate: £235 per day About the Company Our client is a leading telecoms infrastructure provider, delivering high-speed fibre broadband solutions across the UK. With a strong pipeline of Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) projects, they are seeking experienced FTTP Engineers on a contract basis to support network build, installation, and maintenance operations. Role & Responsibilities • Carry out FTTP installations, including splicing, testing, and commissioning of fibre networks. • Conduct fault-finding and diagnostics on fibre networks to ensure seamless connectivity. • Work on overhead and underground fibre infrastructure, including pole climbing and chamber access. • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards. • Collaborate with project managers, surveyors, and other engineers to ensure efficient project delivery. • Maintain accurate records of work completed, including test results and as-built documentation. • Engage with customers and stakeholders to provide excellent service and resolve any installation issues. Requirements • Proven experience as an FTTP Engineer or Fibre Network Engineer in the telecoms industry. • Strong knowledge of fibre splicing, testing, and troubleshooting. • Experience with PON (Passive Optical Networks) and FTTP infrastructure. • NRSWA, SA001, SA002, or other relevant telecoms certifications (preferred). • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in field-based environments. • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across project locations.
