About the Company:
Our client is a leading solar energy developer committed to delivering sustainable and innovative renewable energy solutions across the UK. With a strong pipeline of solar PV projects, they are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth and secure new opportunities in the commercial and utility-scale solar sector.
Role & Responsibilities:
Identify and develop new business opportunities within the commercial, industrial, and utility-scale solar markets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, investors, and key stakeholders.
Lead the negotiation of land agreements, PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements), and partnerships.
Work closely with internal teams, including project development, engineering, and finance, to ensure successful project delivery.
Stay up to date with market trends, policy changes, and regulatory developments in the renewable energy sector.
Develop and implement strategic business plans to drive revenue and company growth.
Requirements:
Proven experience in business development within the solar, renewable energy, or infrastructure sectors.
Strong understanding of the UK solar market, including project development, planning, and grid connections.
Experience negotiating land deals, PPAs, or similar commercial agreements.
Ability to build and manage relationships with landowners, investors, and key stakeholders.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
A proactive, results-driven mindset with the ability to work independently.
Willingness to travel across the UK as required.
